The Effect of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Equity (ROE), and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) on Stock Prices of Food and Beverage Sector Companies in 2021-2024
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze how DER, ROE, and DPR affect the stock prices of F&B companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2021 and 2024. Multiple linear regression analysis was used in this study, and SPSS v.25 software was used to analyze secondary data. F&B companies listed on the IDX during the specified period formed the research population. Purposive sampling, which determines the sample based on specific characteristics aligned with the study objectives, was used in the sampling process. A total of 76 data samples were obtained from a sample size of 19 companies. Based on the research results, DPR did not have a substantial impact on stock prices. However, DER and ROE had a substantial positive impact. A high ROE indicates strong efficiency in generating profits from the capital available, while a high DER indicates that the company is more reliant on debt, which can increase profit potential. These results provide valuable information for investors and company management in making financial and investment policy decisions that can enhance market confidence and stock performance.
