Hubungan Tingkat Debit Air Dan Ketinggian Muka Air Di Sub Das Gumbasa Desa Berdikari Kecamatan Palolo Kabupaten Sigi
Abstract
Rivers are an integral component of the hydrological cycle. Water in rivers generally originates from precipitation inputs, including rainfall, dew, springs, subsurface runoff, and, in certain regions, snow and ice melt. This study aimed to determine the relationship between stream discharge and water level in the watershed of Berdikari Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The research employed field measurements, including wetted channel width, wetted channel length, wetted channel depth, stream flow velocity, river water level, and rainfall. These data were collected over a 30-day observation period. Secondary data were obtained from relevant literature, reports, and institutional sources to support the analysis, including information on topography, geomorphology, land cover, and rainfall records from the previous four years. These data were collected from the Sulawesi III River Basin Agency. The collected data were analyzed using a logarithmic regression approach. The results indicated that the average stream discharge during the study period was 60.143 m³ s?¹, while the average water level in the Berdikari Village watershed was 0.430 m. A very strong relationship was observed between stream discharge and water level, represented by the rating curve equation Q = 0,921h0,00732x with a coefficient of determination of R² = 1. The findings demonstrate that variations in water level are closely associated with changes in stream discharge, indicating that water level measurements can be used to reliably estimate stream discharge in the study watershed
