Peningkatan Pendapatan Usahatani Kakao Organik Di Desa Petimbe Kecamatan Palolo Kabupaten Sigi

Abstract

Petimbe Village, located in Palolo District, is one of the areas with a high level of community participation in cocoa farming, particularly in organic cocoa cultivation. Although it has shown encouraging development, farming activities in this village still face various challenges, mainly due to the lack of adequate management practices, resulting in the absence of clear data regarding production costs and income. This study aims to determine the income level of organic cocoa farming in Petimbe Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The research was conducted over three months, from April to June 2025. The study population consisted of all 21 organic cocoa farmers in the Tunas Muda farmer group, selected purposively. The research results show that the average total cost incurred by farmers was IDR 1,899,047, consisting of fixed costs of IDR 165,713 and variable costs of IDR 1,733,333. This indicates that most expenditures come from variable costs. The average yield over three harvests reached 27.76 kg, with an average selling price of IDR 136.66 per kilogram, resulting in a total farmer revenue of IDR 10,472,524. Thus, the average net income obtained by farmers during the three-month period was IDR 8,577,049.
