About the Journal

The Journal of Public Health and Pharmacy is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and brief reports in the fields of public health and pharmacy. The journal aims to support evidence-based scholarship, methodological rigor, and ethical standards in population health and pharmaceutical sciences.

The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Epidemiology
  • Health education and behavioral science
  • Environmental health and occupational safety
  • Health administration and policy
  • Reproductive health
  • Cost-effectiveness analysis in public health interventions
  • Pharmacy and pharmaceutical contributions to public health

The journal welcomes manuscripts addressing disease patterns and determinants, health literacy and behavior change, environmental and workplace risks, health systems and policy, reproductive and maternal health, economic evaluation of public health programs, and the role of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in improving population health outcomes.

Peer Review

All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with submission requirements, and completeness of ethical and transparency statements. Manuscripts that pass screening are evaluated using a double-blind peer review process by independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

Publisher

The Journal of Public Health and Pharmacy is published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published three issues per year (triannual), with issues released in March, July, and November.

Article Processing Charge

The Journal of Public Health and Pharmacy applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) that is charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. The journal follows a strict policy of no submission fees. Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions, which are based solely on scientific merit, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
